Meccanotecnica Umbra SpA, Italy Acquires Fugesco Inc.

On the 12th December 2018, Meccanotecnica Umbra S.p.A, Campello sul Clitunno, Italy, acquired Fugesco Inc., a Company located in Pointe-Claire, Quebec, Canada.

The location and activities of the business will remain unchanged, and will continue to operate under the name of Fugesco.

The aquisition allows Meccanotecnica Umbra S.p.A. to expand its knowledge and application base into a new industry segment.

Fugesco Inc. has served the hydropower industry and local municipalities for over twenty years with unique and complete mechanical seals up to 4 meters in diameter. All products are studied, designed and manufactured by specialists. Their strength resides in the ability to manufacture products specifically adapted to the customer's needs and operating conditions.

Meccanotecnica Umbra S.p.A. is an International company that specializes in design and manufacturing of mechanical face seals that serve many markets including automotive, industrial and household appliance. Its footprint is global, with facilities in Italy, Germany, Sweden, USA, Brazil, China, India and now Canada.
