Mechanical seals for the food industry are designed to prevent the formation of deposits that could cause pollution of the treated product. If deposits of food processing liquid remain inside the pump, mould and bacteria can form over time and contaminate the product. This possibility is averted by the use of mechanical foodstuff seals that have been designed with special features such as the absence of sharp edges or corners that can promote deposits that are difficult to remove. Every seal from Huhnseal is designed under EHDG and 3A specifications to guarantee CIP (cleanable-in-place) and the materials are all Food Grade certified as required.
